Daily Diaries – The Characters

Kya lekar tu aaya tha, kya lekar tu jaayega, Clap. Clap. Clap.

Jis tan mein tu aaya hai, woh bhi yahin jal jaayega Clap. Clap. Clap.

The loud singing of the old man wakes me up every morning before my phone’s alarm goes off. I spend a good half hour lying on my mattress, listening to his thought provoking songs on the rhythm of his clap beats. He invests such power in his tone, it makes no difference that he is singing outside his shop and I am in my room near the balcony of the fourth floor. The Roommate Chronicles

How long a time is six months? Is it long enough to know someone? Is it long enough to fully understand someone? Is it long enough to develop a lifelong friendship with someone? Is it long enough to fall in love with someone? Is it long enough to fall out of love with someone? No matter how long a time is six months, it is not long enough to stop surprising at the unbelievable things my roommate does. The Promise In The Bag

I was all alone with myself while coming back from work last night. The new music I downloaded during the day was keeping me company. Kaaya had already ignored my call and I was doing what I do whenever I am alone, iThink.

I was thinking about the man who was sitting next to me and talking with his friend so loudly that his voice was piercing through my headphones, disturbing my moment with myself. I raised the volume to the maximum, closed my eyes and tried to divert my attention from his high pitched tone to the contents in my bag. It happens with me at times that I end up doing the most unexpected things. Most of the time I am spared because I do not share my thoughts.
